Welcome to my online diary, enjoy your stay!
In November 2005 whilst home recovering from an operation I decided to try and design a web page for White Springs Fisheries in Pontarddulais I soon started adding info on the fishery website page of my community activities, but as I got more and more involved in community projects, I decided to start this blog in order to keep my community activities and involvement seperate to the fishing. You can email me with comments at slloydjanes@aol.com

Theres a political row that's broken out in the Carmarthen County Council area
Basically the Assembly contacted Carmarthen County Council some 18 months ago stating in a summary that the Assembly felt that modern schools and teaching methods needed to be looked at to offer a wider choice.
I understand that the Plaid Leader Deputy Minister at the Assembly signed off one of the initial reports and I've pulled this detail off the Assembly web site

The Action Plan and updated guidance follows the Deputy Ministers report on 14-19 Learning Pathways in Wales which was launched in November of last year (written in 2008 so we are talking about November 2007). The 14-19 Action Plan 2006-2010, which will drive forward this agenda, forms an important part of the Learning Pathways 14-19 Guidance 2nd Edition
As further results of comittees and meetings and consultation at Assembly level and local level there was a second seminar in September of last year in which the full Carmarthen County Council heard feedback from the Assembly officers and the Headmasters and members of the school govenors and their work to prepair intial stages and ideas for consultation.
As a result of this the Executive board of the county council met in January to agree to take this work a step forward to go to public consultation with various options of driving the Assembly initiative forward.
After this announcement the Plaid Cymru Leader of the council Peter Hughes Griffiths made press releases about screcracy and discussions behind closed doors and theres been a full two page story in this weeks Carmarthen Journal about the war of words. between the leaders of the county and Plaid Cymru.

All a political spin by Plaid, there has been no secracy and infact Rhodri Glyn Plaid AM signed off a report in the Asssembly that was published and discussed by the Rurual Development Sub committee in December.
Plaid have been uneconomical in the truth and they have shot themselves in the foot because in the same news paper on a few pages later Peter Hughes Griffiths had a letter published which seems to contradict his earlier statement, it starts of that the Assembly are asking for these changes and due to concerns they are holding public meetings, All Plaid seem to be doing is scare mongering and trying to score political brownie points
