ministers visit

The last few weeks i've been out at least once a week for two or three hours helping to leaflet drop for Nia Griffith MP's surgeries, today Thursday I've been out in Tycroes advertising her surgery on Friday coming.

In previous weeks i've been to Tumble, Five Roads, Burry Port, Kidwelly and out in Ponthenri helping Nia leaflet and collecting signatures because of the closer of the local post office.

Last week I had the oportunity to meet minister Wayne David who was in Tycroes Buisness Park meeting local buisness people.

Todays leaflet drop in Tycroes was advertising Nia's surgery in Tycroes tomorrow and also had a small piece about Wayne David's visit last week to Tycroes.

The minister was in Tycroes in the morning and he then went to Llanelli in the afternoon and I attended both functions to listen to buisness people share their concerns about the economic down turn, as a result of concerns about banks, not giving out any new loans there was a statement from government about a package to support banks in the current economic downturn .
 
As well as attending the two meetings with Nia Griffith last week, earlier in the week Nia was in Hendy to talk to some residents and she was also interviewed by the s4c film crew who were filming a documentry about Hendy Pool for Wedi7, S4C interviewed more than a dozen people but only used about six in the final film which was six and a half minutes long.
 
Whilst Nia Griffith MP was in Hendy we noticed that the gritting lorry was out filling the gritting bins, this was a result of an enquiry from myself to the county, after a local resident had brought it to my attention that the grit bins were empty, I asked the men had they filled all the bins and was pleased to here that they had not only filled them all, but they had added a brand new one.
