Members of Pontarddulais Walking Club

Members have been busy over the festive period they would like to thank Spencer Lewis for leading the trek on the Gower Peninsul just before xmas and after Christmas they would like to thank group leader Diane Govier for leading the trek to Glanamman, and also Eric Hughes for the Tawe Valley, and its confluence in the city of Swansea. Club members were treated to panoramic views which were witnessed from the hilltop of Kilvey Hill overlooking the Bay of Swansea. Also many thanks to group leader Alan Richards to the customary and annual Boxing Day trek to Penllercastell and Mynydd y Gwair.A special thanks to Peter and Allison Walters for supplying a special lunchbreak at Penllercastell which club members really appreciated.

Hendy RFC Quiz team

The local quiz team met top of the table and league leaders last weekend,Pontardawe Golf Club and what a match it turned out to be. The lead exchanged hands many a time during the evening, but at the end of the contest, both teams were locked together at the conclusion, with the same number of points. Captain Neil Lewis was delighted with his sides performance on the night, especially Spike Thomas. Veteran David Halsall was his usual consistent self, other team members were Peter Davies and Geraint Owain Price.
