well tuesday morning i set off earlier than had previously planned, picking gavin up in Ammanford before 9am and then setting off to port talbot tesco

met bippin the usdaw area organisor there only to find out tesco had pulled the plug for the special day, stating we could only speak to staff in the canteen and not set up in the car park or foyer of the store

however on arrival we had a group photo outside the store, because the bippin had tea shirts and leaflets in his car to carry in and several customers showed interest when they read our logo on the tea shirts, one customer showed interest because he was an employer in a local business in the town and he had a carer working for him and he admitted he wasn't aware of the new rights that will becoming into force on april 1st details can be found on the usdaw union web site www.usdaw.org.uk

we all went inside and set up our stall in the canteen, recuited two new members in a very short period, felt this was going to be a good day, but alas it wasn't myself and gavin went to bridgend 1 and we only recuited one new member all day, this wasn't through lack of trying it was through lack of staff, from 3pm till 4.30pm only two staff came into the staff restraunt, i took a wander around the shop floor and there were no staff on the shop floor the only two i met were the trading manager and the twighlight manager and there were about five calls put out for relief cashiers, i believe all the staff were on the tills  

i dropped gavin off home about 10 past 7 in the evening and then decided at 8pm to go to amandas for the evening, i stopped in asdas on the way to buy something for tea which i cooked and prepaired whilst amanda took her boy luke to his grand mothers

needless to say i stayed up her house this morning untill this afternoon so i never got to do any more gardening in my house today although i did make a good start on monday
