The union usdaw keeps Rob the post man employed in my my street because if i don't get a letter off usdaw there's something drastically wrong

had three this morning with the Usdaw postage frank

they all had the same message or similar message

i get mail as the branch secretary from central office, i get mail from the divisional office and i think i get mail because i'm a senior active tesco rep being a divisional cluster rep

well the mail this morning were all briefing the new maternity and family friendly policies coming into force on april 1st 2007

there was also lieratture telling me the next big campaign day which is being organised on tuesday 27th march

I chilled out yesterday afternoon, calling into the local pub the red lion, and was ribbed the moment I had got in there, because everybody knew about the proposed photo shoot that the press wanted, and nobody believed me when I was telling them I didn't want to do this photo shoot and I hadn't been chasing for the publicity the press were infact chasing me for a comment,

I knew how they all knew and i wasn't impressed, because another local councillor had been telling them about the incident, that they were annoyed that I was poking my nose into Tycroes business when I cover and represent Hendy, as far as I was concerned the councillor shouldn't have been discussing issues and minor debates, within the group these should be kept behind closed doors.

I clarified the situation stating that Llanedi Community Council covers Tycroes and Hendy and because nobody from Tycroes was available to make a comment about a press release that the county council had released, regarding a project in Tycroes, the press had then approached me to make a comment as a Llanedi councillor covering that area,

All the regulars in the bar stated they had had a differnt version of accounts and story? 

Anyway my next door neighbor arrived Vicky and I hadn't spoken to her for months, she had a day off work, we had a game of pool and a chat and I then went up to my mums

Got home about six pm and the girlfriend had been trying to get hold of me I had left my mobile at home on charge, we were going out for a meal and she wanted to know the plan of the evening, she arrived about 7pm I was in the middle of adding photos to the white springs fisheries web page and emailing some of the big carp caught to the angling press for my dad, which took me about half hour to complete after Amanda had arrived and we went out for a meal to the local bird in hand and I must say we both thoroughly enjoyed,  

This morning on getting up (we had both slept later than normal, lately i've been getting up 5 or 6 am) I had slept till gone 9am and amanda had, I had a very quick bath as Amanda kept asking

"how long are you going to be?" as she wanted to use the bathroom, normally i love to lie and soak in the bath.

I then shot off up to pick the keys of the Hendy Cricket Club up to open up, I was ten minutes early for the planned surgery,  but there were residents already waiting?

The police arrived on time with the Catherine Thomas the Llanelli Assembly Member and Nia Griffith the local MP arriving almost 5past, there was 14 people present and I chaired the session introducing the local police the local councillors and nia and catherine, there were lots of issues covered from anti sociable behavior to traffic calming, parking outside the local shops, the roundabout, the village green, the spar, the park and hendy pool

Overall i think it was a pretty positive meeting and the residents went away happy and the police and councillors went away with more knowledge of what issues are effecting the village

I locked up the club and then returned the keys and me and Amanda then went up my mums for an hour

Amanda had to leave at 3pm as she had to go to the opticians to pick up a new pair of glasses, so I decided to kill some time by surfing the web and updating my blogg

 oh and I was pleased Manchester United beat Liverpool Amands boy is a big Liverpool fan

 And for those locals that read my blogg as people in the village have told me they've read it, I never went for the photo shoot the press requested in Tycroes but I understand they might still be running the story
