Community PACT Meetings
The Community Policing Team have changed their format of meetings, there is now a meeting the first Monday of every month between 6pm and 7pm in the new Community Hall in Llangennech, the first of these meetings was rather productive, the new Inspector for the area introduced himself and then listened to concerns from residents and councillors of Hendy and Llangennech, discussions were made around youth and the lack of facilities for them and the future of the pool and park development, there were discussions about how to tackle and prevent traffic travelling down Bronallt Road the wrong way, Steve Lloyd-janes reported that the county council were aware of the shortage of one way signs on the road and that following a site visit it had been agreed to add more one way signs on the road, however there are regular complaints because cars are seen travelling down the wrong way on a daily basis. There was also a priority for the police to work with the dog warden team as there has been an increase in Dog Fouling on the pavement areas around the top end of the Fforest. In total there were four action points for Hendy for the policing team and these action points will be looked at and addressed and reported back at next months meeting
