Working nights in retail is always busy during xmas, and this year the xmas holidays fell on my normal rest days, so i never really had any extra time off, it was just like a normal week, well the only difference it was slightly busier as the shelves were empty every night when i went in.

Anyway, i booked the xmas holidays off in february and i had my last one off yesterday and it came in handy?

My Amanda was working late and had arranged to come done for the weekend, but rung me to tell me she would be down by about 8pm, this worked out fine for me as I had a meeting of the labour party to go to.

I started the day off by doing some gardening, my lawn is in a terrible state after the winter, i've cut it twice already and all that seems to be growing is dandelion's and moss, so today i had my second attempt at raking the moss out and spiking the lawn with a fork to dry and drain it out and kill the moss, at about 3pm, i decided after about 3 hours in the garden, that my lawn was looking really sad and ill, so i needed some fertilizer weed and feed, so i off i went to B&Q in Swansea, 

I had been tidying the seasonal aisle in work the other day and I had been looking at the prices of the grass seed, So when I went to B&Q I wasn't very impressed with their seed prices, I did however buy a pack of weed and feed which had big P.O.S (point of sale) stating it was on offer at £7.98.

I then left to go to Tesco to buy some seed and whilst there, I suddenly realised I had been suckered in I had paid £7.98 for this weed and feed thinking it was on offer and Tesco was selling the same branded packet for £6.50, I was going to take it back but suddenly realised when Amanda phoned me to tell me at about twenty five past five that she would be coming down late, and that I had about 35 minutes to get home put all my fresh chilled food away, change and then get to Llanelli to attend a Labour party meeting.

Anyway I managed to do this and I was four minutes late for the meeting, but I was cheered up later in the evening when one of the members turned up after the meeting was finished.

The meeting was all over by 6.50pm and someone turned up at 7pm not realising the meeting had started at 6pm, it made my guilt a little easier having arrived at 6.06pm

I told them that their time wouldn't be waisted because three of the group had stayed behind to fold some leaflets ready for next week and an extra pair of hands wouldn't go a miss.

I've been out every week for the last twelve weeks leaflet dropping surgery notices for the MP and I've started a face book group promoting the surgeries

Nia is not actually doing any surgeries of the next couple of weeks because of the Easter holidays, but her Parliamentry news letter which she produces three times a year still needs to go out. So we were folding news letters for Tyshia and Ponthenri Wards, Tyshia has almost been completed we have been out and about around the ward this week as well as Kidwelly

" I thought you were going to a meeting" was the comment to which I replied "I've been", Anyway I'm not in the good books and need to spend a lot of money tommorrow, last week whilst up Amanda's I had put the bins out, but unfortunately one of the bags i picked up was a bag full of her washing and clothes and I've now got to go and buy her some new clothes for work, So tommorrow we are out shopping

As a Man United Supporter, it was pleasing to hear that there was a Liverpool top in the bag as well, Amanda's boy is supporter so that news did cheer me up slighly.
