Amman Valley Networks

Today myself and Vernon attended a grant seminar with Carmarthen County Council, we arrived in Tycroes at 5.30pm and we got home at 9.50pm

It was the first one we both attended, it was very usefull and interesting, there was a presentation by the local fire service highlighting the new structures that are proposed and the threat to full time jobs and services at the Ammanford station, then there was a presentation and explanation about the new NHS dentist practice that the local health board are opening and how to get into the practise,

Amman Valley Enterprise who are helping Hendy Pool themn invite three community groups to talk asbout their sucessfull grant applications and three groups spoke about their journey to find funding and what that funding has done to help their project

Then we did two workshops one on community groups in our villages or communities that haven't approached Amman Valley about help and the other was about Switch which is the organisation that works with the Assembly and local Councils to plan 25 years ahead about traffic and transport issues and long term solutions

And finally Hidden Dragon a funding organisation gave a presentation on how to apply for grants, the next meeting is in October.
