Welcome to my online diary, enjoy your stay!
In November 2005 whilst home recovering from an operation I decided to try and design a web page for White Springs Fisheries in Pontarddulais I added an info page on the fishery website page, but as I got more and more involved in community projects, I decided to start this blog in order to keep my community activities and involvement seperate to the fishing. You can email me with comments at slloydjanes@aol.com

On Thursday, i arrived up my mums about 4.30pm after insuring my new car and driving home, i had stopped in the garage on route to book it in for a service mot and cam belt change, i always change my cam belt on a new car unless i had a reciept in the paperwork? but as there was no service history this had to be done
Then the hard work came, to clean out my old car, it took me from 5.45pm untill 9.45pm, four hours hoovering and cleaning out all the junk from under the seats, and glove compartments etc. I then went to work in to speak to my mate to tell him the car was cleaner and to ask another mate would he swap a shift for me?
Friday at 2pm Adrian phoned me and i delivered the car and he paid me the money and then took me up to my mums so i could borrow her car for the weekend. On arriving in work fri night Adrian wasn't impressed said it had an oil leak which i denied any knowledge of as i wasn't aware of any oil leak?
Saturday night he changed his mind it hadn't been an oil leak it was a desiel leak, there was a pin hole in the desiel fuel line? so he was a little bit more happier than friday night?
i haven't seen him since but on sat night when we met 10 minutes before we started work, he had washed and polished the car inside and outside and he had painted the spare wheel rim, which was looking a bit sad with rust in the boot, i don't think i've ever had the chance to use it, as i've never had a puncture, and its never been out of the tyre well
both sides
over the weekend i did a bit of work on both sides Nia Griffith had spotted two obvious glaring mistakes, i had entered 11 - 11 on a time of an event instead of 11 till 12 and i had spelt someones name wrong? twice i must add.
hopefully this will now be printed and ready to deliver by today or tomorrow.
Hendy Pool
Last night i attended the monthly pool meeting and all went smoothley it was done and dusted by 8pm and vernon, myself calfyn and spike went over the road for a quick pint in the local rugby club
I had spent about half an hour tuesday morning talking to gwynneth thomas explaining where some of the money from the pool fundraising had come from, because we had raised over 5,000 pounds last year from the fundraiser and donations and xmas cards and she wanted to know what were donations and what were auction takings and what were xmas card sales? to make the books balance and look good?
In all i understand we currently have reasonably healthy bank accounts and funds, but have a lot more to do if we are to save the pool?
We agreed at the pool committee to put on a stall at the carnival and monday night in work the boys agreed that they could swap shifts for me to attend the carnival
