In November 2005 whilst home recovering from an operation I decided to try and design a web page for White Springs Fisheries in Pontarddulais I added an info page on the fishery website page, but as I got more and more involved in community projects, I decided to start this blog in order to keep my community activities and involvement seperate to the fishing. I am involved in the Llanelli CAB
I am the current secretary of the Hendy Pool and Parks Committee
I am also a member of the Pontarddulais and Hendy District Carnival Committee. Which will be celebrating its 40th year this year.
I have been a member of USDAW since 1989 and I am the Llanelli Usdaw Union Branch Secretary, I have done a lot of campaigning with Usdaw and I often appear in the quarterly magazine that gets published and sent to Usdaw Members, here's just one example
I have also been Hendy community councillor on Llanedi Community Council since 2004 and as a councillor, I also represent the council as a member of the Hendy School Govenoring Body.

After going to the Cardiff office of the union today, i went to my girlfriends and Trevor across the road was digging out his front lawn
he was filling a skip full of this beautifull top soil, i was quick off the mark and ended up giving him a hand for about an hour wheeling about half a ton of soil into Amandas front garden, her lawn was not very level full of dips and troughs, there was once a flower bed which has grassed over into her lawn,
I levelled off this troughs and dips and went up to focus to buy some grass seed, the lawn now looks a little more levelled and it should be easier to mow once the seed has taken.
But i'm suffering now on my left hand i burst a blister between my thumb and finger and the skin missing is about the size of a penny piece and its really tender, and i've also got a blister on the palm of my right hand?
I know what the boys in work will be saying later in the week, they won't believe how i got these blisters because three or four have started reading my blog
