my baby sister

Hi Bethan,

how are you since i last chatted today? this post is dedicated for you.

today i couldn't sleep was up at 3am on the web, dozed off about 6am in front of the telly.

only to be woken at 7am by a phone call and then a knock on my door at 7.30am, my new cupboard i ordered about three weeks ago over the internet finally arrived, i was drop number of the day, they had rung me to say they would be arriving within the half hour Amanda said Saturday we will put the new cupboard together and start filing and recycling some of my old letters/paperwork and junk.

I tried to go back to sleep, but had a few phone calls i had a meeting planned at 10.30am in the park

Anyway Vernon and myself arrived in the park at 10.20am to meet the consultants team and were met by WIB, he had made some phone calls and collected the keys to the pool, but they were the wrong ones, eventually a parks maintenance man arrive with bolt cutters and a new lock was fitted? The team of consultants took some photos and said they were now ready to contact some of the groups of consultees to discuss some uses and ideas for the park and site.

After leaving the park i had to visit a local resident who had phoned to ask advice, after this visit i popped up the fishery for an hour or two.

Bethan, i was sitting in a bivvy down the soil shed when you rung, talking to an angler, glad you found my blog  and that it made Jarrod laugh, i passed him today driving through Hendy.  I did wave?

After our chat on the phone, i popped into the fishery for half hour as mum and dad had previously been out and had arrived back, whilst i was down the lakes.

Anyway i did manage to go back to bed as i was really tired after my lack of sleep this morning, Bethan maybe later tonight, i'll add one of your photos to the blog

Don't worry i'll email it to you first to get your approval

Anyway I looked at my statistics to the web page today and i've attracted loads of new first time hits been knocking the 20plus each day for the last two weeks, Bethan you are probably one of them lol.

Oh i was in the solicitors in the Bont yesterday getting my passport application signed and sorted out and i was asked were you ok, i said yes and i'd send his regards onto you

scouting survey

Here's this weeks column

Pontarddulais walking club

Members would like to thank Allison Walters and Ann Chalke for leading last weeks strenuous trek in the Brecon Beacons. Highlight of the trek was the scaling of the two mountains Fan Frynach and Craig Cerrig Gleisiad in the Forest Fawr range. Lunch was taken at the Brecon Beacons Visiting Centre, with splendid panoramic vistas of the peaks of Pen y Fan and Corn Du. Club members would also like to thank Allison and Ann for organising the Lake District trip and tour next summer.

Joint Surgery

Wednesday 3rd October at 5pm there will be a joint surgery with the local policing team and the local councillors and the Llanelli MP Nia Griffith in the Hendy Cricket Club

Pontarddulais Pact Meeting

The Pontarddulais police force will be holding a public meeting Thursday night next week, 26th September in the rugby club in Pontarddulais, where policing issues and feedback can be given and received. The chief inspectors of both forces have agreed to have representatives from both forces present and residents from both villages are welcome.

Hendy and Fforest Post Offices

There are community boxes in both post offices which the Hendy policing team empty regularly, if you have any concerns or wanted to advice the police or need to ask them to contact you then please use these boxes Consultations There are also boxes in the post offices which residents can return their comments to for the two surveys that have been dropped through your letter boxes, one is regarding the post code row, responses and views will be collated and evidence will be provided to various bodies which might include insurance companies and the post office who set the post codes, The second survey is around scouting, the Wales Scouting movement are celebrating their 100 anniversary this year and they’ve won a grant to develop the scouting movement, the grants require evidence that there’s a need in communities to develop the local groups, the more responses the better the chance that Hendy and Pontarddulais might share some of this development grant, please return and complete this questionnaire.
