there's ninety nine locals joined the save hendy pool discussion group on face book

here's an entry i posted on the forum today, maybe people who read this blogg and are not on face book could help which is why i added the discussion here

and decided to update you all with an update on hendy pool

we've just won a £9,500 grant to conduct a study for hendy pool and consultants have been choosen and just started planning their study

those living in hendy should have recieved a survey in our news letter through their letter box

please fill the scouts one in, it's been conducted by david thomas, one of my friends in my profile, lots of hendy folk will know him prehaps we should have a dai tom discussion group as many on here will have stories to share but back to the topic http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=789205849

he's working for the Wales scouts movement, at the moment, which is where the scouts survey has come from, the scouts were 100 years old this year and they've jusy won a lottery grant to improve some scout groups in Wales.

this is why he is doing a study, if enough people respond, and he can show evidence that the village is lacking in facilities and could benefit there's a slight chance that our community migh be able to pursuade the scouting movement to invest in scouts in hendy, possibly in a hendy pool project

but this will only happen if enough responses are returned, if you haven't had a survey form or want to fill one out Send Dave a PM and he'll email you one

anyway, the consultants will be coming up with a design and business case over the next few weeks

the hendy pool committee have almost finished designing a web page and watching the video link above i vame up with an idea, there's 100 members in this group is half of you made a short video clip and pasted it into you tube the video could bemade anywhere near the pool or park would be fantastic

but if you posted comments about why the pool should be saved, we can add some of the good comments to my blogg in ,link in my profile. possibly to the new hendy pool web page

and we could use them as evidence for funding applications, the videos could be your fond memories like one posted to my blog written in the evening post

we need old photos and fond memories like this because the heritage lottery peole said we would qualify for funding if we could show and promote the history of the pool

example the park equipment has changed about three times since the 1980's, you might have photos of yourself in the pool with the park or the tennis courts and park keepers hut in the background, these photos will help build a memory of the pool as it was and will help in grant searches

so if there are any budding film stars out there make some video clips to help the campaign and post some photos to this group and add them to you tube
