hendy surgery

Friday with the weather holding out we knocked doors in Hendy and Pontarddulais to sell carnival programmes and we managed to sell about half of what we had, a lot of people had either bought or said they wouldn't be going because the carnival would be rained off!

Friday evening, we held a surgery in Hendy, myself counillor Vernon Hicks and Nia Griffith the Llanelli MP

I picked up the keys to the Cricket club and arrived 10 minutes before the surgery only to see a queue of five people already waiting, by the time Nia arrived another four had arrived.

I spoke to all the residents concerned, and the issues were, parking in bryngwili road, the m4 motorway junction and volumes of traffic, the local bus services and bus stop issues, footpaths, the post office and the post code issue,

and there were some personal issues that are confidential. The surgery was suppose to be 5pm till 6pm, Nia arrived 5.10pm and we left the surgery at 7.15pm as people were still arriving as late as 5.55pm, in all it was a good turn out
