my girlfiends boy luke is back in school next week hurray!!!

last week they stayed with me and i actually done quite a bit in my house, whilst he was playing on my play station and pc, downstairs i locked myself in my bathroom and spent a whole day finishing off the painting and decorating i had started 8 months ago, only need to plumb the shower in next and my bathroom is finished 

we went shopping wednesday looking for a new cupboard, i ended up purchasing one off the web to be delivered later this week, then i can put some of my stacks of mail away out of site instead of them mounting in great piles everywhere, i spent half a day last week recyclying thining some of my mounds of paper work, if the post man doesn't deliver mail, i normally send a search warrent out lol  

i belong to so many committees with work, the union, the council that i get letters everyday about meeting agendas etc and i am never in the house,

i got into trouble wednesday with Amanda i went to a meeting at 7pm told her i'd be about an hour maybe hour an half tops and three hours later she was ringing me to see if i had got lost , i thought it was only about 9pm lol

anyway thursday we took Luke to the pictures to see the new Harry Potter film in the cinema and i really enjoyed, though i missed the first fifteen minutes, Luke pursuaded his mum to buy him an ice blast in a tube like bottle about 12inches tall and a big straw sticking out on top of this and he kept moving this straw to get the lid off to slurp the ice and this straw kept poking me on the nose, and he had about a dozen rows off his mum for winding me up, by poking his magic wand (i mean straw) in peoples faces, because she had the same treatment but not as often as myself  

Anyway he's home now getting ready for school this week.

Thinking about it, the village might be a bit quitier when the kids are back in school, six weeks is a very long time to have as a holiday. No wonder kids get bored and hang around sitting on street benches, by the bus stops? 

Hopefully this might change once the feasibility study for the village and Hendy pool get returned

and if we find grants to restore the once packed facility, maybe kids will be doing what we once enjoyed, swimming in the sun instead of congregating causing a nusiance.

Since my parents are divorced, I was one of those kids who got to tag along when one of them was dating/seeing other people, so I know that even when you are extremely lucky to like them and more, be liked back from the kids, still they don’t make things easy at times, do they? ;)
LOL

I really hope that the folks trying to build a local park for the kids around here succeed, they really need something like that. I do not consider them the Lost Generation, no, it is more like the Forgotten One at times.
