Pontarddulais Walking Clubs
Many thanks to father and son namely Selwyn and Gary Williams for leading members of Pontarddulais Walking Club on their trek to the old Roman Road of Sarn Helen in the Nedd Valley. The group started their trek at Banwen and finished at Aberdulais. Also a big thank you to Geraint Owain Price for being group leader on the Amroth to Ludchurch walk and also thanks to Ann Chalke for leading the group in the Brecknock Beacons. Anns trek in the Beacons was a particularly strenuous trek that was a total of 14 miles on a glorious hot sunny day. At the end of the trek which took the group somewhat in the region of seven hours to complete, the intrepid few were grateful for the liquid refreshments at the Red Cow Inn, Pontsticyll. Arrangements have been made for the Dorset Trip in September and members are reminded that Mr Dennis Sheehan is now taking names for the trek.
